Warranty & Repairs Policy

At Wegener Tool Co., we take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of everything we make, from hand-shaped Surfies and DIY Kits to apparel and tools. Each product is built with care and attention to detail. This Warranty & Repairs Policy outlines our commitment to you, what’s covered, and how to request a repair or warranty claim.

1. General Warranty Coverage

We warrant that all Wegener Tool Co. products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for the following periods from the date of purchase:

  • Surfboards & Surfies: 3 months

  • DIY Kits & Tools: 3 months

  • Apparel & Accessories: 30 days

This warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

2. What’s Covered

  • Manufacturing defects in workmanship or materials.

  • Structural defects in wood or bonded components (for Surfies and wooden boards).

  • Stitching or material failure on apparel that occurs under normal wear.

  • Hardware or component failure under normal use (for tools or kits).

 


 

3. What’s Not Covered

  • Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, or discolouration.

  • Damage due to misuse, accidents, impacts, or neglect (including water and/or heat exposure beyond design intent).

  • Modifications or repairs not authorised by Wegener Tool Co.

  • Damage resulting from storage in extreme heat, moisture, or sunlight.

  • DIY Kit boards that are improperly assembled, finished, or glassed by the customer.

  • Fading, staining, or shrinkage of apparel due to improper washing or care.

4. Warranty Process

  1. Submit a claim: Email support@wegenertoolco.com with your name, proof of purchase, photos of the product, and a short description of the issue.

  2. Assessment: Our team will review your claim and may request additional photos or information.

  3. Outcome: If approved, we’ll repair, replace, or refund the item at our discretion. In some cases, we may offer replacement parts or a repair credit.

  4. Return shipping: Customers are responsible for shipping the item to Wegener Tool Co. unless otherwise agreed.

5. Repairs (Out of Warranty)

We believe in repairing, not replacing. If your product falls outside the warranty period or isn’t covered, we still offer a paid repair service whenever possible.

  • Surfies & Boards: Repairs for dents, cracks, or delamination.

  • Tools: Handle, sandpaper, or assembly replacements.

  • Apparel: Stitching or patch repairs when practical.

Email support@wegenertoolco.com for a repair quote. Include clear photos and a brief description of the damage.

6. Proof of Purchase

Warranty and repair requests must include valid proof of purchase, an order number, receipt, or confirmation email.

7. Limitations & Legal Rights

This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective products and does not cover incidental or consequential damages. This policy operates in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You may be entitled to remedies that cannot be excluded under the ACL, including replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable losses or damage.
